Mixed waste or separated?
Most skips are for mixed general waste. If your waste is all one material, such as plasterboard, clean soil and stone, or wood, a skip for just that material is often cheaper, because it's easier for us to recycle. Ask us for a quote.
Skips on the road
If the skip can't go on your drive, it needs a permit from the council. We apply for it for you. The council's fee and lead time vary by area, so ask us when you book. Read our skip permit guide.

We can't take these in our skips:

How long can I keep the skip?
Our standard hire is 7 working days. Online bookings can be for up to 14 days. If you need longer, just ask: depending on demand we can often extend it.
My drive is narrow. Can I still have a skip?
Our skip lorries are 2.7 metres wide, so we need a gap of at least 3 metres. If the lorry has to turn to reach the spot, allow room for that too. Not sure? Send us a photo and we'll tell you.
Can I fill the skip to the top?
Load it level with the sides, never above. We can't legally carry an overloaded skip, so the driver will ask you to take some out before it can be collected.
Do I need a permit?
Only if the skip goes on the road, pavement or a grass verge. The permit comes from the local council, and we apply for it for you: just tell us when you book. On a road, the skip also needs safety lights and cones at night; you can get these from a local hire shop. More about skip permits.
