Why buy recycled?

Costs less

Recycled crushed brick and screened soil are usually cheaper than newly quarried stone and topsoil, and they come from just down the road.

Made to a standard

Our crushed brick and block is certified to 6F2, so it can be used wherever a job calls for that grade.

Better for the planet

Every tonne you buy is a tonne less dug out of the ground, and a tonne kept out of landfill.

Buying recycled materials

What does 6F2 mean?

6F2 is a grading in the Specification for Highway Works for selected granular fill, used for capping layers. Our crushed brick and block is certified to it, so you can use it wherever a job specifies 6F2, such as piling mats, temporary roads and sub-bases.

How do I work out how much to order?

As a rule of thumb, a cubic metre weighs 1.5 to 2 tonnes, depending on the material and how much it is compacted. Send us the area and depth you need to fill and we'll calculate it.

Can I pick it up from your yard?

Yes: let us know what you need and when, and bring a vehicle rated for the weight. Larger orders go out on our own tipper lorries, delivered to site.
