Cookies on this website
What this website keeps in your browser, what it is for, and how to change your choice.
Cookies are small files a website keeps in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work; others are optional. This page covers tauruswaste.com, the website of Taurus Waste Recycling Ltd.
We do not use cookies for advertising, and we do not use analytics cookies to follow what you do on this website.
Needed for the website to work
These are always on. The law does not ask for your consent for them, because the website, or the service you have asked for, does not work without them.
| What | Whose | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your cookie choice | Ours | Remembers whether you chose "Accept all" or "Essential only", so we don't ask on every page. Kept in your browser's storage; it is not sent to us. | Until you change it or clear your browser |
| An offer you closed | Ours | If you close an offer banner, it stays closed while you look around. | Until you close the tab |
| Online booking and payment | Checkfront, our booking system | On the Book a skip online page only. Keeps your booking together as you choose dates, enter your details and pay securely. | Set by Checkfront: mostly for your visit |
| Online forms | Zoho Forms | On the credit account, incident report and customer details forms only. Lets the form work and helps protect it from misuse. | Set by Zoho |
Optional: only if you accept
These come from other companies and are not fetched at all unless you press "Accept all". If you choose "Essential only", the map is replaced by a link and the seal is left out; everything else works the same.
| What | Whose | What it is for | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Maps of our yards | Google Maps | Shows a map of each yard on the pages that have one. Google may set cookies to remember your map preferences and to protect its service. | Set by Google: up to two years |
| Security seal | SiteLock | The SiteLock seal at the bottom of each page is an image fetched from SiteLock, which may set a cookie. | Set by SiteLock |
Changing your mind
Press "Change my cookie choice" above, or "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page, at any time. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings; if you block all cookies, online booking may not work.
